You can become a volunteer in school near you and make a difference! Opportunity Connection can help find the school and a job that fits your needs. All you have to do is decide what you want to do and make a commitment.
Volunteers work with schools and children in many areas including tutoring, reading to students, helping out in the libraries and computer labs, and assisting on the playground. They also support other activities such as chaperoning dances or field trips, helping with school productions and even attending PTA meetings.
Jobs are available to fit every schedule, whether it is one hour a week or one day per month, the presence of a caring individual and the attention that is given can make a difference in a child's life.
People of all professions, ages, and educational backgrounds are invited to join Opportunity Connection's Volunteer Program. All that is needed is the desire to help and the love of children. The first step is to call 989-893-4567, and ask for Jo Ellen or email a request at firstname.lastname@example.org or go to United Way of Bay County website to get started.
