Co-Teach with a Business Person
Advisors from local businesses work with teachers to deliver the Junior Achievement curriculum, an in-school, hands-on, supplemental economics and business program for students in grades K-12.
Field Trips/Tours of Businesses
Field Trips are a short, school-supervised visit to a worksite for groups of students to view a company in operation. Students are able to talk with employees and observe workplace activities. The experience supplements in-school instruction, helps with career awareness/exploration and allows students to see how school-based learning is applied. The sponsoring organization establishes guidelines for age, time of day, etc. for its participation.
Speakers/Presenters
Guest speakers provide presentations to classrooms or schools on specific jobs or industries, employability issues, demonstrations or other related topics.
Tutoring
Employee volunteers work with students identified through the school to help them understand school subjects or concepts that need reinforcement to supplement classroom instruction.
